The Third Ulster Blitz Chess Championship.

Ballynafeigh Community Development Centre, Ormeau road, Belfast

12:00 Registration.

The number of rounds and sections will be confirmed on the day depending upon turnout. But there are expected to be between 15 and 20 rounds of chess!

Time Control: 3 and 2. This means that each player will have 3 minutes for all their moves PLUS a 2 second increment for every move made.

Touch move: the touch move rule will apply to all games.

Entry Fee: £10. £5 for players under the age of 18 and any players new to Ulster Chess events.

Prize Fund: Substantial. At least equal to entry fees received.

The 3 and 2 time control and adherence to the touch move rule brings the Ulster Chess Championship into line with the World Blitz Chess Championship. So come on down on 28th December. It promises to be a fun day of chess for all.
