NICS Inaugural Intense Rapidplay
Owl-like intensity
Of course, players will want to give it their full concentration like the owl in our photograph. However Intense refers to the event offering 8 (yes eight) games in a single day, rather than the usual 5 or 6 most tournaments provide (and you'll still be home in time for your evening meal). If you take up our early-bird entry offer that' will cost you just £1 per game.
So don't worry, at the end of the day you shouldn't end up like this guy!
Also, although Civil Service CC has just been revived after 5 years and this is its first foray into competition, the event will have a very experienced Tournament Controller in David McAlister, who for many years was the UCU Tournament Director.
