FIDE rules will apply. Remember mobile phones must be switched off and no food allowed in playing hall.
Apart from tournament fees, remember to renew your ICU fees for the 2025/2026 season [1 Sept 2025 to 31 Aug 2026]. As per FIDE regulations, all players participating in a FIDE rated tournament must be paid up members of their National Federation, which in our case is the ICU. Please renew your ICU fees online before the event at www.icu.ie/shop
Tournament entry fees: Please note this event runs as 10 rounds over 2 Thursday nights (5 rounds on 18th and 5 rounds on 25th Sept) and the entry fee covers both nights, but players are welcome to only play one of the nights if they wish.
£15 for anyone paying cash on the night. Please bring exact change.
Reduced to £10 for players paying in advance by bank transfer, Revolut or PayPal.
Free entry for members of Bangor Chess Club (if 2025/2026 club fees have been paid). Otherwise £15 cash on the night.
Free entry for extra players from the same family.
Book and prepay to secure a place.
Trophies will be awarded as prizes.
