Karina Kruk crowned Irish Womans Champion 2012 at Kilkenny 23rd-25th November

For the first time since 1982, Ireland held a seperate championship for the title of Womens Champion of Ireland, mainly thanks to the work and talents of Una O’Boyle. There were 12 partipants and it was run smoothly by Ted Jennings alongside the Kilkenny Congress.

Karina after success at the World Youth Chess Championships goes on to win the prestigious title of Irish Womans Champion 2012. Gaining 4.5 out of 6 points.
