This year's Irish Chess Championships are taking place at University College Dublin from the 1st to the 10th of July. Four different tournaments are taking place:
- Irish Senior Championship: 2nd-10th of July. For players over 1900 on either the ICU or FIDE rating lists.
- Irish Intermediate Championship: 1st-3rd of July. For players rated 1500-1899 on the ICU rating list.
- Irish Junior Championship: 1st-3rd of July. For players rated under 1500 on the ICU rating list.
- Weekend Open: 8th-10th of July. For all players.

For all events other than the Weekender, a late entry fee will apply after the 25th of June. Entries to the Senior will close on the 30th of June, and the late entry fee for the Weekender will apply from the 6th of July.
