This is a one day rapidplay competition which is open to teams that play in the Ulster Chess Union Leagues.
FORMAT
- There will be 8 teams split into 2 groups of 4.
- Each team will play 3 group matches.
- The top 2 in each group will qualify for the next stage of the main competition. The bottom 2 teams in each group go into a plate competition.
- The second stage of both competitions consists of semi-finals, final and 3rd / 4th place play off.
- Every team is guaranteed 5 matches during the day.
- Matches will be played over 6 boards with each team having 3 whites and 3 blacks.
- Teams with more than 6 members may rotate players for each match
- Time control is 25 minutes per player with no increment.
