Muldoons 1 returned to the top of Division 1 with a 3.5-1.5 win over the CS Lewis Lions, with wins for Gareth Annesley, Danny Mallaghan and Nicholas Pilkiewicz securing the bonus points. The A Team's match with QUB 1 included four draws, with only Ray Devenney succeeding in breaking the deadlock against Ian Woodfield, while Ballynafeigh 1 continued to close on the leaders with a whitewash of bottom side Bangor Groomsport.

NICS' Peter May (1792) and Mark Newman (1742) can normally be relied upon to do the business when paired together on the top two boards, but while the latter defeated Richard Gould, May fell victim to Ian Kilpatrick (1565).
