Avrora vs Dexter
Avrora Zelenchuk and Dexter Harris competed in the U8 section while Daniil Zelenchuk took part in the U12 competition. It was an excellent tournament that was extremely well organised and provided a fun weekends chess for all the players involved. For our local players it provided the opportunity to pit themselves against the top players in Ireland in their age group - and all 3 of them acquitted themselves well.
Daniil scored an excellent 3.5 / 6 in the U12 section and won a grading prize. This section which was won for the second year in a row by the rising Irish star Danny Dwyer. The U8 section was won by Arnold Kecskemeti, however, both Avrora (2 / 6) and Dexter (4 / 6) played some great chess and thoroughly enjoyed their weekend.
