On a snow white and cold day the top young chess players met at Methodist College to determine the Ulster Champions. Saturday 9th December saw some exciting chess.

Chess for Peace
On Wednesday 15th November two of our promising young players, Dexter Harris and Adam Fitzsimons, traveled across to Wales as Youth Ambassadors for the Ulster Chess Union, as part of the Chess for Peace initiative by FIDE. They were accompanied by Ross Harris and Brian Fitzsimons.
Fruithill end Kelly's Heroes 100% record
(B&D League 2017/18 Week 5) The Malone Road side's perfect start to the season was brought to a juddering halt at Fruithill as they were finally beaten. Also, in Division 1 there was a default that could have significant implications for the title race.
Muldoons 1 take Silver King lead
(B&D League 2017/18 Week 4) Muldoons 1 are the new Division 1 leaders after a convincing win over The A Team, while Kelly's Heroes continue their Division 2 dominance with another whitewash.
