Lack of numbers was made up by some very exciting Chess.

The top section for the Nemtzov Cup played an all play all.

Gareth Annesley beat Michael Waters in Round1 and Ian Woodfield did exceptionally well to beat Gareth Annesley twice. Stephen Scannell's lead during the tournament was cut by a draw in a blitz finish in round 5 where pieces were literally flying off the board against Gareth Annesley. The final game between Michael and Stephen decided who walked away with the cup. A fascinating position with Stephen the exchange down for a passed central pawn. Michael in another time scramble came out the victor.
