Top young players do well at Delancey Northern GigaFinals
11 Players travelled to Wright Robinson College in Manchester to take part in the Delancey UK Schools Chess Challenge Northern GigaFinal. To play top players from the UK. There were some 1000 children - the atmosphere was excited and tense with anticipation.

Delancey Chess Challenge Belfast Megafinal 2017
Part of the largest chess tournaments in the World. The Delancey Chess Challenge - starts with School tournments which leads to the Mega-finals where the top players will qualify for one of the two NORTH/SOUTH GIGAFINAL and winners of these go onto the NATIONAL TERAFINAL!. Report from Brendan Jamison on the City of Belfast Chess Championships
The City of Belfast Championships were held in the bright and spacious upper floor of the QUB Student's Union over the weekend of 6th to 7th May 2017.
Strandtown and Inchmarlo represent Ulster at the Primary School Interprovincials
On Saturday 22nd April two of Northern Ireland's top primary schools, Strandtown and Inchmarlo, were representing Ulster in the Irish Primary Schools Interprovincial Championships. The two teams of 4 players headed down to Gonzaga College in Dublin to play in this extremely competitive tournament.
Ulster Junior Success at Irish Championships
