Lisburn Chess Rooms - the Grand Opening
Opening officially to all at midday the 6th November (Saturday) at 60-62 Longstone Street.
The league has started Week 1 - Civil Service two teams get their first matches
Many thanks to League director Ross Harris and assistant Chris Dorrian. We have face to face matches. With players who havent played face to face for sometime able to enjoy slow focused chess. Yipeee!
Bangor Blitz Championship 2021 - results and photos
Bangor held yet another brilliant tournament. A big thanks to Brendan Jamison. Who has run so many tournaments outdoor and indoor in these difficult times. Dont forget : Spaces are filling up quickly for the next FIDE-rated event in Bangor, a rapid tournament from 7-10pm on Thursday 18th November.

Childrens Chess is back. With our first event of the Season the Belfast LJCC Qualifier.
On October 2nd 2021 young enthusiastic chess players gathered at Methodist College for a day of exciting chess. The Belfast LJCC Qualifier allows the younger age groups to qualify for one of the top London Chess Tournaments.

The top team schools chess competition. The U19 ECF National School Chess Championships 2021/22 is now open for entries.
Childrens Chess starts with the Belfast London Junior Chess Championship Qualifier
Childrens Chess is back. With its first tournament on Saturday 2nd October 2021. Taking place at Methodist College. A 6 round tournament. Followed in the year with our monthly Childrens Chess tournaments including the Ulster Schools Championship in December.
Tony Beckett awarded Honorary Membership of Bangor Chess Club
The Bangor Chess Club AGM was held outdoors at the Groomsport picnic tables on Saturday 11th September 2021. The club voted unanimously to award Tony Beckett with Lifetime Honorary Membership of Bangor Chess Club.
