Alan Burns series of tournaments started on Sunday 5th December 2021
Its so good to have chess face to face and to be able to continue with our regular tournaments. The Alan Burns is a fun set of 4 tournaments. Held on Sunday afternoons. This Sunday saw a very strong section with some of Ulsters Top Players and some of its youngest.
Novembers Childrens Chess 2021 took place on Saturday 6th November
Youngsters gathered at Methodist College from as far afield as Dublin. For a Chess filled afternoon. With a chess tournament and 22 puzzles to solve.

The chess Calendar for the next few weeks is full of Chess activity. Including the Ulster Masters at Queen's University over Friday 14th - Sunday 16th November. Five rounds of slow chess - face to face! FIDE rated.
The league 2021 week2 - Civil Service plays another two matches
How did week 2 go. What are the standings after 2 weeks? and a big thankyou to Queens Chess Club and The Strand Chess Club for sharing rooms with other clubs to facilitate the league.

Bangor Blitz Championship 2021 - results and photos

On October 2nd 2021 young enthusiastic chess players gathered at Methodist College for a day of exciting chess. The Belfast LJCC Qualifier allows the younger age groups to qualify for one of the top London Chess Tournaments.
