The aim of the programme is to promote and develop women's chess in Ulster through -

1) recruitment and training of new players
2) coaching of established players
This programme is suitable for any female, young or old, who is interested in learning and playing chess. All level of players are welcome, from absolute beginner to advanced tournament players.

 

To celebrate the launch of the programme, the Ulster Chess Union is hosting a FREE screening of the film 'Queen of Katwe' at the Strand Arts Centre in Belfast.

Who can attend?: Any female who is interested in participating in the programme. Attendance of the launch event does not obligate you to attend the coaching.
