Ulster Chess Championships 2017: Europa Hotel, Belfast

The Ulster Chess Championships is a 2 day event taking place at the Europa Hotel from Saturday 2nd - Sunday 3rd September 2017.

Format: 6 round swiss

Entry Fee: £20 (£15 if made prior to Monday 17th August)

Registration: ALL ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY 1.00 p.m. ON FRIDAY 1ST SEPTEMBER.  NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED ON THE NIGHT OF THE FIRST ROUND. Players must be registered with UCU or ICU.

Time Control: 1 hour 10 minutes +  30 sec increment per move. Record All moves

Players will be defaulted if they arrive more than 30 minutes after the start of the round.

In the event of players finishing on equal points a tie-breaking system will be applied for titles and money prizes. (First tie-break will be Median Buchholz followed, if necessary, by Buchholz, then most wins and then progressive scores.)
