The Ulster Chess Championships 2016: Europa Hotel, Belfast

Format: 6 round swiss

Entry Fee: £20 (£15 if made prior to Wednesday 24th August 2016).  Players must be registered with UCU or ICU.

ALL Players MUST REGISTER to play in advance. Registration will close on Friday 26th August 5:00pm - Contact tournament director to register (Richard Gould 07770763266).

Due to potentially high numbers this year. Entry may be on a 1st come 1st served basis - so register early to guarantee a place.

In the event of players finishing on equal points a tie-breaking system will be applied for titles and prize monies. (First tie-break will be Median Buchholz followed, if necessary, by Buchholz, then most wins and then progressive scores.)

Time control:
1 hour 30minutes and 30 seconds increment.  All moves must be recorded. 

Players will be defaulted if they arrive more than 30 minutes after the start of the round.

Timetable: Saturday, Sunday & Monday 27th, 28th, 29th August 2016

Check-in: 9.15am - 9.45am.  1st round start time 10.00am.

1st Round Draw: 9.45-9.50am

Players may request to play in a higher band at the directors discretion.
