First met second as Ballynafeigh 3 and QUB 2 met on Monday night. The visitors brought a stronger team, on average, but for the third week in a row Daniil Zelenchuk (1170) defeated a higher-rated opponent as he saw off the challenge of Bernard McCaughey (1383). The home side's other win came courtesy of Ross Harris over new arrival Fawaz Alkhateeb, while Milad Foozoni and Ram Rajan secured wins for QUB 2. The two sides split the points after Samuel Ngieng held Brendan Jamison to a draw. Meanwhile, the title challenge of Kelly's Heroes seems to be juddering to a halt after a loss to Ballynafeigh 4, who were 228-point per board underdogs.
