Photo Finish Sees Uni Men Edge RVH

After salvaging a fairly fortuitous draw at home to RVH last week, Champions Queen’s made the return trip west to face Ciaran Marron’s side for the second week running.

With the title contenders sharing draws in both of their previous clashes this season, one thing looked certain – it was going to be pretty tight. A night of high (and very late) drama was to ensue across the boards, with half points appallingly thrown away by both sides as the time control approached.

Each side tinkered with their team selection. In for the hosts was Neil Fisher, as he replaced Tony Parker on board 5. QUB’s team sheet saw Chris Millar come in for Lukasz Kwiatek.
