Ulster Championships 2018

Venue: Europa Hotel, Belfast

Format: 6 round swiss played over 3 days. 2 games per day.

Entry Fee: £20 if made prior to 12.00 noon on 15th August. Entries after this time will cost £25

Registration: ALL ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY 12.00 NOON ON THURSDAY 23RD AUGUST.  NO LATE  ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.

NOTE: ALL PLAYERS MUST BE PAID UP MEMBERS OF THE UCU OR ICU

Time Control: 1 hour 30 minutes +  30 sec increment per move.

Players will be defaulted if they arrive more than 30 minutes after the start of the round.

In the event of players finishing on equal points a tie-breaking system will be applied for titles and money prizes. (First tie-break will be Median Buchholz followed, if necessary, by Buchholz, then most wins and then progressive scores.)

Intermediate     1400 - 1700

Junior                under 1400

Prizes: The prize fund will be formulated and published on the first day of the tournament
