The virtual league 2020 Civil Service at home to Ballynafeigh
On the evening of Weds 21st October 2020 10 players were ready to play at home on line. To play slow chess 90mins each. Civil Service faced a tough match against Ballynafeigh - whose boards go from Ulsters top players to 1400 players.

Ethan Cole U12 and Dexter Harris U14 played for Ireland over the weekend 5th/6th Dec 2020
This weekend saw Ireland compete in the Celtic Nations Online Junior Invitational competition. Ulster had two players selected, Ethan Cole in the U12's and Dexter Harris in the U14's.
The first Ulster Cyber Blitz tournament will be held on Monday 28th December, starting at 11am.

Tournament Report: Bangor Rapid Championship sees 40 players out in force!
Weds 3rd February 2021 saw 40 players compete in the Bangor Rapid Championship.

Ulster Chess and Bangor Club lose a much beloved and highly respected member.
Ron Henderson passed from this life on Christmas day. Ron was a friend to many in the Ulster Chess World. Many players enjoyed his company and love of the game. Ken Browne remembers his friend, Ron "A gentleman and a scholar".

Three weeks left and the standings for the Winter 2012 Tournament
With 3 rounds left how are the standings. This tournament alot of players have played almost every week. Which makes for a good tournament and occasionally provides some challenging pairings. Most players have played more than the 14 games that allow them to ignore the rule of having to play 2 of the 3 last weeks.
Two weeks remaining of the Winter Tournament 2021
Follow the progress of the competition to date. We have two weeks remaining with Danny Roberts ahead with a fantastic 85.7% and Michael Hood 2nd on a very good 68.8%.

The Virtual Ulster Masters was played on November 21st/22nd 2020
With two sections and some 23 players - the Masters was our first slow weekend Virtual Chess Tournament. With Senior Championship won by Adam Collins and Intermediate won by Andrew Todd.
