Queen's Lead League at Christmas

The final Division 1 fixture of 2007 saw reigning champions Clifton House host QUB. Each team's first round of matches produced a disappointing tally of two wins and two defeats, leaving neither side able to afford any festive generosity to their opponents if they planned to find title-winning form.

QUB aimed to cap a successful 2007 with a win at Clifton House

A draw for Queen's or a win for either side would be enough to see them lead the league at Christmas, albeit with a closely-chasing Fisherwick and North Belfast not far behind and with a game in hand.
