THURSDAY 21st SEPTEMBER
7:30pm to 9:30pm: BLITZ
8 round mini blitz for children and newcomer beginners. Time control 10+0. Free entry. Certificates will be awarded.
7:30pm to 8:15pm: Club AGM
The club grew to 55 members last season and continues to attract more newcomers this season. Notable officials standing for re-election - Richard McClean (Chair of Club Committee & Equipment Secretary), Geoff Sterrett (Treasurer), George Gamble (Secretary), Sam Moore (Team Captain), Rebecca McClean (Child Protection Officer), Caleb McClean (Facebook Officer) and Adam Rushe will take on the new role of ‘Spectrum Chess Mentor’ to increase support for the many club members with autism/Asperger’s. We particularly value all our members on the spectrum who are great chess players.

SATURDAY 23rd SEPTEMBER:
Bangor Congress. 6 rounds of 30+0. This is our club’s flagship event of the season! It has been running for decades and began its long history shortly after the club was established in 1966.
