Ulster Championship preview

Lists of who has entered and a reminder of some of the more important rules.

This year the Championship is being run in three sections rather than a single tournament. 40 players have already entered, with a few more expected to enter on the day.

Rules reminder

1. Default time: In Rounds 2-6 players arriving 30 minutes after the actual start of the round will lose the game by time default. In Round 1 players are requested to appear before the start of play. There is no default time in Round 1 but players will be repaired if their opponents have not arrived by 10.30 am.

2. Mobile phones: Players are reminded that they must keep their mobile phones switched off. If a player's phone makes a noise during play, he will automatically lose the game.

3. Tie-break rules: In the event of players finishing on the same score, a tie-break will be applied for titles and prizes. Order of tie-break is Median Buchholz, Buchholz, Most wins and progressive score.
