Ulster Team Championship 2001 Report

Played at the QUB Staff Common Room over the 12- 13 May

Instead of the usual knock-out format, a round-robin rapidplay qualifier was held to decide the finalists. UCU League scoring rules were used (i.e. 2 extra points for a win, 1 point each for a draw). The 3 teams placing 3 to 5 played for the UCU Plate, with 2-hour playing sessions. The final was a double-rounder with the standard 3-hour playing session.
