UK Chess Challenge 2021 Online + ‘Over the Board’ Terafinal !
Information on the Delancey Chess tournament from the organisers:
"Dear Parent
Online registration for the 2021 Delancey UK Chess Challenge is now open. This event is open to all individuals in the UK aged 18 or under and has been running every year since 1996.
The initial stages are taking place online with the finals seeing a return to over the board action at Blenheim Palace.
There are three pricing options starting at £10 which grant access to the online competition (there is an extra charge for the over the board events should you qualify).
There are 5 age group sections (U8, U10, U12, U14, U18) with prizes for boys and girls in each section (cash prizes, trophies, medals and certificates).
The first stage of the competition, the Megafinals, takes place over two weekends – 12th/13th June and 26th/27th June). Full dates are available on the website.
The UK Chess Challenge welcomes both beginners and experienced national level players. The tournaments include a live video warm-up show with tips and help for players and every participant will be invited to a session to help them get to grips with playing online if they are new to this.
