The Times British Schools Championships 1995

MCB 1995

Ulster's leading school team, Methodist College Belfast, won for the first time the prestigious Times Schools Championships. The Methody team included two Irish Olympiad players, Brian Kelly and team captain Angela Corry. In the semi-finals Methody easily defeated the 1994 Champions Ipswich before going on to defeat Maidstone Grammar in the final.

The prize for the best game of the finals was awarded by Raymond Keene, chess correspondent of The Times, to Brian Kelly for his fine win in the final.
