March Madness Grand Prix Tournament at GFC Chess

Each Tournament will have its own winners and the overall grand prix will have its own winners.

On each night there will be a trophy for the overall winner, a grading prize (level dependent on entries) and an under 18 winner.

The overall grand prix will have an overall 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place and an under 18 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd place. You will gain 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss over the three weeks. In other word’s it is worth it to attack and win and be there for all three nights.

Format of the event:

28^th February 2022 - #1

Reg 7:15pm, clocks start 7:30pm

8 rounds blitz, time control 5 minutes.

Finished by 10pm

14^th March 2022 - #2

Reg 7:15pm, clocks start 7:30pm

6 rounds Mini Rapid, time control 10 minutes.

Finished by 10pm

28^th March 2022 - #3

Reg 7:15pm, clocks start 7:30pm

6 rounds Mini Rapid, time control 10 minutes.

Finished by 10pm with Grand Prix Prize giving after.

Cost is £4 per night or £10 for all three.
