About: “The Club started out with weekly Saturday meetings in the Linenhall Library in Lisburn and held a number of well attended competitions. With the Club continuing to grow in numbers the search was on for a permanent home for the ever expanding Chess club. This was to be the first dedicated Chess Rooms in Northern Ireland. (…)The club has 17 permanent chess boards, a kitchen, a lounge, a bathroom, and a chess library!”
