Arthur Cootes Memorial Cup

Arthur Cootes passed away on the 1st December 2002. The following summer a trophy in his honour was first presented to the winner of the Belfast Summerfest Open. The tournament ceased to exist after 2005 due at least in part to the Ulster Championship moving to a summer date. Since 2014 the winner of the Ulster Rapidplay Championship has been awarded the Arthur Cootes Cup.
