£12 entry fee, payable in advance to secure a place. One open section but separate trophies for Junior rated players.

Engraves trophies/cups/shields for Champion, 2nd, 3rd + Junior Champion, Junior 2nd and Junior 3rd.

We have 3 FIDE-licensed National Arbiters at Bangor Chess Club but the Chief Arbiter has not been confirmed yet, however, we can confirm it will be dual-rated by FIDE and the UCU.

Tie-break criteria are in the following order:

Buchholz

Progressive

TPR Mixed

At the time of writing, we have 61 members at the club and bear in mind the maximum we can fit into the playing hall is 50 players, based on the number of trestle tables at the venue. We advise registering early for this event. If you pay your Bangor Chess Club annual club fees before this event, then you are entitled to a 50% discount, i.e. you can play for £6.

Also, don’t forget to renew your annual UCU fees for this new season: 1st Sept 2024 to 31st August 2025.
