Omagh Rapidplay 3rd Dec 2022 - tournament report by B. Jamison

104 players have now taken part in the NI Rapid Grand Prix, with Omagh the 7th out of 10 tournaments in the series. On 3rd December, 30 players gathered at the Christian Brothers Grammar School on a beautiful Winter’s day. With 2 sections and 6 rounds, players had 25 minutes each per game. It was great to welcome players from far and wide, especially some very talented newcomers!

FIDE RATED NI RAPID CHESS GRAND PRIX 2022 TO 2023

The 8th event in this series will be held in East Belfast at the Civil Service Chess Club (Maynard Sinclair Pavilion). The rapid will take place on Saturday 7th January 2023 from 12noon to 6:30pm. We have capacity for 30 players. Please note our other event in this series in East Belfast (at Strand Chess Club) was oversubscribed with 4 players missing out.
