The three competitions before the Great War
Originally published in the Ulster Chess Chronicle as a "feature article", the material has now been broken up into four bite-size Time Traveller pieces, firstly setting out the difficult negotiations over the rules for the competition and then describing the 1912, 1913 and 1914 events.
Williamson Shield 1923-1929
After the suspension of competition for the Williamson Shield due to the Great War, the event restarted in 1923 and continued throughout the 1920s. This second series ended in 1929.
