Brilliant Primary School Chess organisation and resources for teachers : Ficheall

We have a group driven by enthusiastic Primary School teachers promoting chess in Primary Schools. The group started in Glaway and has since covered a lot of areas in the Republic of Ireland. Ficheall is an organisation setup by Teachers to promote and organise chess in Primary Schools.

We should encourage our Primary Schools to get involved.

"With the support of local education centres, the initiative has spread nationally. In Ficheall’s first three years over twenty thousand chess games were played at 54 chess tournaments around Ireland.

2019/2020 was Ficheall’s most successful year yet with 3,736 students representing 199 schools!"  - from their website.

The organisation provides courses for Primary School Teachers and regional competitions.
