The Ulster Chess Union is responsible for organising, administering and developing chess in the Province of Northern Ireland.

Ulster Rapidplay Championship prizewinners

Since the move of the Ulster Championship proper to a warmer time of year in 2005, the rapidplay version has been habitually held over the holiday season. This season the event was held on the 2nd January 2011 at its usual venue, the Belfast Boat Club.
