 This venue is in a magical setting, overlooking the beautiful  Carlingford Lough and the wonderful Kilbroney Forest Park is directly  behind our building. 
 
 Entry fee £10, if paid in advance, otherwise £15 cash on the day.,
 
 Format: Open Swiss

 Timetable:
 
 Check-in 10:30am to 10:45am
 
 Be seated at 10:55am
 
 Round 1: 11am to 11:40am
 
 Round 2: 11:45am to 12:25pm
 
 Round 3: 12:30pm to 1:10pm
 
 Lunch break
 
 Round 4: 2pm to 2:40pm
 
 Round 5: 2:45pm to 3:25pm
 
 Round 6: 3:30pm to 4:10pm
 
 Round 7: 4:15pm to 4:55pm
 
 Prize-giving: 5pm 
 
 Tie-breaks will be determined by Swiss Master 5.7 Build 8 in the following order: Buchholz, Progressive Scores, TPR Mixed

 We advise booking and prepaying early to secure a place.
 
 FIDE rules will apply. Phones must be switched off (including any  spectators/chess parents). No food allowed in the playing hall but  drinks at tables permitted. Players may bring a pack-lunch and there are  pic-nic tables outdoors at front of the building on a large lawn. There  is also a cafe at the venue. Car parking within the grounds is also  possible.
 
 Remember, as per FIDE guidelines, each player is meant to be a paid-up  member of their National Federation in order to get their games rated.  Newcomers are invited to join the Irish Chess Union or Ulster Chess  Union. The season runs from 1st September 2024 to 31st August 2025.
 
 Deadline to register for this tournament is 12 noon on 31st August 2024
 
 Players are not permitted to turn up on the day without pre-registering  as we must know the number of sets and clocks to bring to the venue (+  we need to get all player details entered into the software programme in  advance).
