The Belfast LJCC Qualifier 2012
The 3rd Belfast LJCC Qualifier took place on Saturday 6th October. The calibre of players was high. Unfortunately the numbers were low. This is a once in a year opportunity to qualify for the prestigious London Junior Chess Championships where the UK's top young players battle.

Nigel Short tied first place at the British Championships at the age of 14. He became a GM at the age of 19. He was ranked 3rd in the World and challenged Kasparov for the Ultimate title of World Champion.
