In the monthly Childrens Chess tournaments at Methodist College we had some top players playing some brilliant chess
Muldoons 1 regain Silver King despite Strand 1 victory
(B&D League 2017/18 - postponed matches update) Strand 1 beat Ballynafeigh 1, but it isn't enough as Muldoons 1 are confirmed as B&D League champions for a second time, while Strand 4 win Division 3 after a nail-biting finish to the season.
Belfast South Open Chess Tournament 2017-18
The final round of the Tournament and prize-giving took place on 27 March 2018. This flexible tournament was a very flexible one with an unscheduled change of venue and a switch from Monday to Tuesday night in January 2018. Particular thanks to QUB club for hosting the second half of the tournament.
The Summer tournament starts back at the Civil Service Pavillion - May 2nd
Start the summer by playing at the Summer tournament - a flexible tournament over 20 weeks. Back at its original venue with excellent parking and surroundings.
Kelly's Heroes reclaim Strawbridge Cup
(B&D League 2017/18 - postponed matches update) Kelly's Heroes secured the Division 2 title with a 3-2 win over nearest rivals Muldoons 2. Meanwhile, Strand 1's Silver King odds lengthened even further as they could only achieve a 3-2 win against Civil Service.
