Belfast City Chess and Roaming Knights, in conjunction with 2RA (the Belfast City Arts and Community Space at 2 Royal Avenue), are hosting a free all-day chess meetup to celebrate International Chess Day. This is a free SOCIAL MEETUP for players of all ages to meet and play chess and draughts with (and hopefully learn from) other players of all levels of skill and experience. Players of all ages and experience levels are invited.
- NO, this is NOT a tournament or a competition event.
- YES, it is FREE.
- YES, ANYONE of ANY age can attend.
- YES, beginners of ALL levels ARE welcome.
- NO, it is NOT a chess club.
- NO, we are NOT running chess classes.
- NO, advance booking is NOT required.
- YES, there will be adults present, and there may be children with their responsible adult, parent or guardian.
- ALL Under-16's MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult at ALL times, EVEN WHEN PLAYING.
- ALL unaccompanied minors WILL BE REFUSED ACCESS TO BOARDS and, if left ALONE, will be TOLD TO LEAVE and to return to their responsible adult. NO EXCEPTIONS.
