Get your FIDE CLASSIC Rating now

Now is a good time to strive to get a FIDE Classical rating. FIDE are in the process of consulting on changes to the calculation of the initial ratings, and calculation of ratings in the future. In addition there will be a one time points boost to all players under 2000 rating in January 2024. (On a sliding scale).

There are two current opportunities in Ulster to achieve this before this date. The U1800 FIDE Classic at Greenisland FC Chess on the 1st October 2023 and the Ulster Masters on the 3rd - 5th November.
