The Summer tournament has now played for 21 weeks - A drop in tournament - setup to allow players to play during the Summer months when alot of clubs close. With plenty of exciting chess. Next week we have a fun quick play tournament and award ceremony - all welcome.

Belfast Culture Night and Day. Enjoy meeting potential new chess players. Play chess and enjoy the cafe experience. Share your enthusiasm for the game. At Caffe Nero, 19 Lombard St. or Costa Coffee, Victoria Centre, September 20th 3:30pm til late and new this year Culture Day September 21st 12:00 til 5:00pm. This is part of the Belfast annual Culture Night with lots of exciting public events celebrating culture.

Bangor Academy launches chess club
Science teacher and UCU chess player Mr Magee launches Chess Club at Bangor Academy. Brendan Jamison hands over Chess sets from the UCU to the Club on 12th September 2019.
