2026 UK Open Blitz Championships: Belfast qualifier

A fantastic day of chess as FM Bodhana Sivanandan, CM Harry Bryant and Nicolas Skettos all flew over to take on the cream of Ulster chess, with Richard Gould taking on the reigns as arbiter. The format was all play all, meaning 17 games each, which is a challenge even for experienced players. In the end top seed Bodhana played to her rating, not afraid to go behind on the clock and showing her class while winning every game. Alwin Micheal scored a notable win over Harry Bryant, while Ben McIlroy edged out fierce competition for second place. Well done to all competitors!
