The Sligo Rapid Series & Rising Stars (Under 12) Series is a new five-tournament circuit organised by Sligo Chess Club, running throughout the 2026–27 season and culminating at the Sligo Chess & Culture Festival 2027.

This is the first of five standalone tournaments with an overall series championship:
Saturday, 15 August 2026: Mercy College, Sligo
Sunday, 13 September 2026: Clayton Hotel, Sligo
Sunday, 18 October 2026: Clayton Hotel, Sligo
Sunday, 15 November 2026: Clayton Hotel, Sligo
Saturday, 6 February 2027: Sligo Chess & Culture Festival

Time Control: 10 minutes plus a 5-second increment per move (10+5).
