On a snow white and cold day the top young chess players met at Methodist College to determine the Ulster Champions. Saturday 9th December saw some exciting chess.

(B&D League 2017/18 Week 7) Ballynafeigh 1's title defence appears doomed to failure as they suffered a shock defeat to Strand 2.
Strand 1 close the gap after big win
(B&D League 2017/18 Week 6) Strand 1 achieved a dominant victory over Ballynafeigh 2 after their second team put up a creditable performance in their narrow defeat to leaders Muldoons 1.
Chess for Peace
On Wednesday 15th November two of our promising young players, Dexter Harris and Adam Fitzsimons, traveled across to Wales as Youth Ambassadors for the Ulster Chess Union, as part of the Chess for Peace initiative by FIDE. They were accompanied by Ross Harris and Brian Fitzsimons.
