Fisherwick players dominate Williamson Shield
The 2010 edition of the Williamson Shield was held over the last weekend in January.
The top two seeds were Fisherwick players Michael Waters and John Cairns and apart from a draw in their individual round 5 encounter, they won all their games to share the title. The only time either co-winner was in trouble came when Fisherwick 1st team captain, Ian Woodfield had Cairns on the ropes in round 4 with a fine sacrificial attack but could not find the knock-out blow and eventually went astray in a time scramble.
