City of Belfast Championship
The City of Belfast Chess Festival will be held on the weekend of Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 June 2007. Venue is the Belfast Boat Club, 12 Lockview Road, Belfast 9.

- THE NEMTZOV CUP WILL BE A SIX ROUND TOURNAMENT FOR PLAYERS RATED 1600 AND ABOVE: ENTRY FEE £12
- THE HENDERSON CUP WILL BE A SIX ROUND TOURNAMENT FOR PLAYERS RATED UNDER 1600 AND UNRATED: ENTRY FEE £10
- DEDUCTION OF £2 ON ENTRY FEE IN BOTH NEMTZOV CUP AND HENDERSON CUP IF ENTERED BY THURSDAY 14 JUNE 2007
- TOURNAMENTS MAY BE AMALGAMATED DEPENDING ON NUMBER OF ENTRIES
- PRIZES: TOTAL PRIZE MONEY WILL BE AT LEAST EQUAL TO THE AMOUNT RECEIVED IN ENTRY FEES. THERE WILL BE A GRADING PRIZE IN BOTH TOURNAMENTS
- 3 ROUNDS BOTH DAYS STARTING AT 10.00AM, 2.00PM & 6.00PM
- EACH PLAYER TO HAVE 90 MINUTES FOR THE GAME
- The controller’s decision in any dispute will be final.
- The Ulster Chess Union will rate both tournaments.
- Players may request a half-point bye if they wish to miss one of the first five rounds. This request should normally be made before the start of the first round.
