Ulster Chess Union Archives

The Ulster Chess Union was formed in 1932 after many years of ad hoc administration through local Belfast clubs. From that time, the Union was affiliated to the Irish Chess Union until 2005 when members agreed to engage independently with world chess authorities.

The Ulster Chess Union is charged with administering and developing chess in the province of Northern Ireland
